Welcome to ADHD in Women
The Site For Women With ADHD, By A Women With ADHD
Hi, My name is Sarah, and I am a 44 year old woman with ADHD. Having ADHD is hard for anyone, but the chances are, if you are a female over the age of 30 with ADHD, you have almost certainly struggled more than most. Not because the symptoms are particularly worse for us, but because they probably weren't recognised or diagnosed early enough to prevent your life from becoming an absolute clusterf**k of chaos.
Now I would love to tell you that this website was a meticulously planned, well thought out project, but the truth is, last week my husband was away on business for 1 night and I was bored. Yes, I could have done some work on one of my customer's websites (I'm a self-employed web-designer), or finished my own drop-shipping website that I spent 400hrs + working on, and getting practically ready to launch (but haven't touched for 3 months).
Or I could have done some of the housework that hasn't been done for months, finished one of the half decorated rooms in the house, or made something with the sewing machine that I bought a few weeks ago, used twice and then left to gather dust on the dining table surrounded by the metric f**ktonne of material and other supplies that I ordered. I could even have finished writing the ADHD book that I started, and half finished, in the space of a weekend, over a year ago................... but I didn't.
Instead, I decided that I should start a completely new project. A shiny new, dopamine filled project, ie. this website! I mean it'll only take me a day or 2 to finish anyway.............................
